University of Alberta Herbarium
The Vascular Plant Herbarium (ALTA) has approximately 120,000 specimens of ferns, conifers, and flowering plants. ALTA is the largest herbarium in Alberta and the third largest in Western Canada. Our collections are rich in specimens from Alberta and Northern Canada.
