Data for Summary Analyses [1%] by balkenhol, 2011-01-25 06:46
Contains data files to calculate summary statistics / models from the various output we got from CDPOP and the Mantel analyses.
Converted IBD Data - June 2010 [1%] by balkenhol, 2010-06-15 02:34
These are the IBD results from Erin, converted into different formats. I've only included files from generation 400, and only from batches 1-5 for now...file ...
Re: Software packages for Mantel's tests and significance testing [1%] by balkenhol, 2010-04-07 02:59
The problem is that most programs do not explicitly state how they do the randomization.  Also, there are actually several ways for permuting ...
Re: Overlap? [1%] by balkenhol, 2009-03-19 14:10
Yes, we need to check on that.  I compare it to the Schwartz & McKelvey paper to make the point that simulation results depend on their underlying ...

Re: False discovery rate [1%] by balkenhol, 2009-03-16 19:47
Sorry - looks like the links to the two FDR papers aren't working properly :O(
Re: False discovery rate [1%] by balkenhol, 2009-03-16 19:46
On second thought: If you include FDR, you should perhaps also cover (sequential) Bonferroni correction. I’m a little confused about the separation ...
pop size & genetic differentiation [1%] by balkenhol, 2009-03-16 19:44
Hi Rolf,   You might already point it out, but effective population size can also influence neutral genetic differentiation, not just neutral genetic ...
Re: Link to lecture 9 [1%] by balkenhol, 2009-03-16 19:41
Hi Helene,   This lecture looks awesome – I especially like the mix of theoretic practical considerations (software etc.).  When you mention ...
additional citations [1%] by balkenhol, 2009-03-16 19:40
Hi Stephanie,   Your lecture looks great!  I only have a couple of minor suggestions:   You might want to point out some more that edge ...
Re: False discovery rate [1%] by balkenhol, 2009-03-16 17:23
I'm not sure which FDR papers Stephanie has in mind, but here are 2 of the main FDR references I'm aware of: Benjamini Y, Hochberg Y (1995) "Controlling ...
Re: random vs. IBD [1%] by balkenhol, 2009-03-16 17:09
I'm think I agree with both of you.  IBD-like patterns can arise from purely spatial influences on gene flow, but also from environmental heterogeneity.  ...
Re: Link to lecture 6 [1%] by balkenhol, 2009-03-16 16:40
Hi Melanie, Yes, we'll actually use the "panmictic" scenario as a null in our lab, but that's probably not clear yet.  Thanks for pointing it out... ...
Re: Simulations for theoretical expectations [1%] by balkenhol, 2009-03-16 16:38
Excellent point - the Epperson stuff covers this a little bit, but the OIKOS study is even better...I'll think about including it!
