At the conclusion of the spatial design section you should have the following products:

• A preliminary identification of the spatial design or designs that are most appropriate for your monitoring needs (may have to revisit this spatial design choice in order to balancing your sampling effort among spatial, temporal, and response designs,
• Access to specific tools that will assist you in developing the spatial design.

After you have identified potential spatial designs, proceed to the temporal design stage.
