Chip's predictions for 2010 monarch season

June 13:  counts for the end of July early August period
will be below the long term average.     ----- yes, predicting -
meaning forward = this year. Much below for KY and TN less so for OH,
IN, IL but still a bit below long term.

June 23: Monarchs will also be on the low side of normal for the late
summer counts in the NE - but for reasons that are different from
those suggested by our earlier analysis.

June 30: OK -- here is another prediction - the ENC area will have above
normal monarch numbers for the last week of July and the first week
of August  - unless there is a period of >100 degree temps over a
broad area between now and the end of July.
