    After you have carefully considered the information needs of the various audiences who will be using results from your monitoring design, you will have chosen which particular indicators to estimate to reflect status, trends, and potential causal mechanisms of trends in Pacific salmon populations. By following suggestions of professionals who study how people think about complex situations involving uncertainties and risks, your communication of these results should now be more effective and better understood. More appropriate decisions should result.

      The next step 7, "Review and revise" prompts users to review the first six steps to see whether any revisions need to be made at any step, including identifying monitoring goals and objectives, choosing a design, collecting or managing data, analyzing them, and reporting results.
